Digital Studies Certificate Program
The Digital Studies Certificate helps students learn about digital culture and develop their skills in producing digital media content. Each student that completes the Digital Studies Certificate will be able to better recognize what digital communication tools can do and how to use them.
Digital cultures are about relationships between people and the digital tools they use. To better understand those relationships, Digital Studies students think about two big questions:
- What impact do digital technologies have on our lives?
- How can we use digital tools to make our world a better place?
Do More with the Digital Studies Certificate
The Digital Studies Certificate brings together departments from across campus and allows students to choose from over fifty courses to create their own individualized digital curriculum. Through its course offerings, professors, tools and experiences, the Digital Studies Certificate provides digital skills and technology to students that prepare them for future careers in every industry.
In the rapidly changing digital environment, students must be able to quickly adapt to these changes to be successful. Our courses challenge students to critically assess all kinds of digital technologies and become more savvy users of today’s digital tools. Depending on the coursework chosen, students may increase their skills in web design, video editing, photography, database management, illustration, graphic design, and more!
