How did you end up working at Culver Franchising System?
After graduating, I began my career as a Zone & Marketing Manager at a large automotive company. In this role, I consulted with dealerships to develop business strategies that increased sales and strengthened customer relationships. Over time, I shifted my focus to the digital side of marketing and product strategy, drawn to its potential for innovation and measurable impact. My experience spans multiple industries, including automotive and a marketing agency, where I honed my digital skills, leading to my current role.
What does a typical day in the office look like for you?
I typically start each day by reviewing key performance metrics for our app and website, looking at things like user engagement and conversion rates. I collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing to align on upcoming campaigns, developers to refine the product backlog and prioritize new features, and UX designers to enhance the user experience. Much of my work revolves around clearly defining new feature requirements, setting realistic timelines, and evaluating overall digital performance.
How has Digital Studies influenced your career path?
As a Marketing major in the Business School, Digital Studies really helped me tap into the creative side of marketing. The courses gave me the skills and knowledge I needed to step into digital marketing roles after graduation. From my first job to where I am now, that foundation in digital media has been so valuable and instrumental to my career thus far.
Did you have a favorite Digital Studies class when you were a student?
My favorite Digital Studies class at UW was Communication Arts 155 with Professor Hoyt. I loved exploring so many different aspects of the digital space and getting the chance to dive into all of them. The class was a great introduction to and provided a great overview of multiple digital media tools.
Do you have any advice for current students?
Take advantage of all the great opportunities UW has to offer! There are so many unique classes, clubs, and organizations that are available for you while you’re a student. Find ones that give you experience in your field to help build your resume and expand your network!
What achievement are you most proud of in your professional career thus far?
One of my proudest achievements has been helping drive growth in our app and website performance, leading to increased digital sales and overall engagement since I started back in 2024.
